Several initiatives took place during the last weeks involving this fabulous wine route.
All over May Iter Vitis visited the Marsala wine route with several delegations. First of all we unveiled the area to some tour operators coming from UK, USA and CANADA, they discovered thanks to the amazing work of the local guides the Florio, Pellegrino and Donnafugata wineries a stunning and unexpected vine heritage then they enjoyed a sunny day at the unique Mothia island a Mediterranean paradise.
Another group of Portuguese stakeholder was able to follow the same path, they enjoyed the Florio winery and the Fina winery, among them oenologists and wine producers completely charmed by the saltiness and the elegance of the dry Marsala.
The Marsala Wine Route is an example among the best Italian Wine Routes of excellent management, prestigious offer in terms of quality of wines, wine making and professionalism of wineries and incredible preservation of landscape and heritage.
We accepted as Iter Vitis, with great enthusiasm, the proposal of Salvatore Lombardo, President of the Marsala Wine Route, being partner, next October for an event involving Marsala, Madeira, Porto and Sherry to celebrate the 250th anniversary of John Woodhous arrival in Marsala.
