ITER VITIS, Cultural Route of the Council of Europe, is proud to serve as a partner and jury member for the European Cultural Tourism Network (ECTN) Awards 2025.
This year’s Awards circle around the theme “Visitor Experiences and Authenticity for Sustainable, Smart and Resilient Cultural Tourism Destinations.” They celebrate initiatives from across Europe that enhance visitor experiences while safeguarding local identity, whether through digital innovation, resilient tourism strategies, inclusive services, or eco-friendly practices.

As a supporting partner, ITER VITIS champions the value of eno-culinary heritage in connecting communities and fostering cultural tourism.
A unique feature of the 2025 Awards is the Public Choice Voting—inviting the wider public to cast their vote for the finalist project they find most compelling. This participatory dimension adds another layer of visibility to the awards, inviting enthusiasts, professionals, and communities to have their say. Anyone interested can vote for their favorite finalist by visiting the Public Choice Voting page on ECTN’s platform.
Meanwhile, the finalists—16 outstanding initiatives representing 11 countries—have already been announced. They span the full spectrum of categories, from gastronomy and resilience to digitalization and cross-border cultural products.
The Awards ceremony will take place during the 18th International Conference for Cultural Tourism in Europe, hosted in Sibiu, Romania, from 1 to 4 October 2025.
Through our involvement, ITER VITIS continues to reinforce its commitment to preserving viticultural heritage as a vibrant cultural asset, nurturing innovation in eno-gastronomic tourism, and contributing to a resilient and sustainable future for European cultural tourism.
