10 Great Gold Medals and almost 80 Gold Medal<\/strong>s and over 10 countries <\/em>represented<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On May 31st, Gorizia hosted the highly anticipated International Oenological Contest of the Cities of Wine<\/a>, marking another milestone in the celebration of viticulture and cultural exchange. For the past three years, Iter Vitis has been a proud partner of this prestigious competition, which not only elevates the recognition of wines and their regions but also fosters a robust network of ambassadors from diverse territories, united by a passion for wine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year’s competition was a remarkable testament to the spirit of Iter Vitis, transforming the event into a vibrant platform for intercultural dialogue and exchange. The panel of judges included esteemed experts from Portugal, France, Moldova, Israel, Lebanon, and Greece. Their role extended beyond evaluation; they engaged in meaningful conversations about wine and its intrinsic connection to the land, enriching the overall experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A special congratulation goes to Lebanon, which achieved the Great Gold Medal, a testament to the country’s dedication to excellence in winemaking. Moldova<\/a> also stood out with an impressive array of medals, showcasing the depth and quality of its participation. Israel, in its inaugural year, made a remarkable entry with the Judean Hills<\/a> and Biblical Wines, earning both gold and silver medals. Portugal reaffirmed its status as a top player in the competition, while Romania, Croatia, Germany, and the outsiders Mexico and Chile also made notable contributions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The success of this year’s event underscores the potential for further expansion. The hope for the next edition is to broaden the map of participating countries, maximizing the potential of a competition that has thrived for over two decades. This event remains a powerful tool for promotion and intercultural dialogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
