{"id":2277,"date":"2023-05-28T09:21:36","date_gmt":"2023-05-28T09:21:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/itervitis.eu\/?p=2277"},"modified":"2023-05-28T09:31:03","modified_gmt":"2023-05-28T09:31:03","slug":"lugana-on-foot-the-italian-walking-path-through-vineyards-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/itervitis.eu\/fr\/lugana-on-foot-the-italian-walking-path-through-vineyards-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Lugana on foot: the Italian walking path through vineyards"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>The Consorzio Tutela del Lugana DOC in collaboration with Wine Meridian, inaugurates the first vine walking path to have received the Iter Vitis Cultural Route of the Council of Europe certification in Italy.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The denomination of Lugana is the first wine tourism destination in Italy to host an Iter Vitis walking path: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.consorziolugana.it\/\">Consorzio Tutela del Lugana DOC<\/a>, in collaboration with <a href=\"http:\/\/Www.winemeridian.com\">Wine Meridian<\/a>, inaugurates \u00ab\u00a0Lugana On Foot: walking through the Lugana vineyards\u00a0\u00bb, that received the Iter Vitis certification last week.<br>Iter Vitis decided with enthusiasm to join this project as perfect pilot for a future network of European vine paths aimed to unite splendid landscapes, characteristic places, archeological and historical sites but above all winegrowing realities capable of transmitting the essence of the territory in a unique journey.<br>The walking path dedicated to the Lugana wine winds along 45 kilometers on foot through the countryside of Lake Garda and passes through suggestive inhabited centers of the denomination such as Sirmione, Peschiera and Pozzolengo. The path alternates cultural stops, including a visit to the Tower of San Martino della Battaglia and the caves of Catullo, with a visit to some of the Lugana DOC cellars: Cobue, Selva Capuzza, C\u00e0 Maiol, Corte Sermana, Le Morette.<br>The path was tested by a first group of journalists, wine tourists and influencers, from 24 to 26 May, the idea of this first walking tour was to start a selection of the items that will integrate the walking path, evaluating the difficulties of the route and motivating other sites reach this ambitious project . The final version will be ready in autumn but the first part will be already available next week on <a href=\"http:\/\/Www.Winerist.com\">Winerist<\/a>, the wine tourism market place, commercial partner of Iter Vitis for the development of tourist products.<br>Walking paths are certainly a trend in the tourism sector, for Iter Vitis any sustainable approach to wine tourism, seen as cultural tourism, is certainly welcome. The purpose of Iter Vitis is to be able to enhance these realities at an international level and to motivate local institutions to support these projects, making sure that they can be successful and can also represent an economic benefit for the pertinent area.
